 The Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board would like to recognize Evenglow Senior Living with the 2021 Business Leadership Award. This award recognizes a private sector company that has demonstrated leadership in the areas of workforce services and economic development during the year. Ladonna Russell, Workforce Board Executive Director, stated “Evenglow Senior Living is one of the top 10 employers in Livingston County and an asset to the community. We are fortunate to have them in the community and appreciate all they do to support workforce and economic development programs.”
The Workforce Board recognizes Evenglow Senior Living for this award due to their countless efforts in workforce development. Evenglow Senior Living is instrumental in providing individuals in the community an opportunity to learn about careers in healthcare. Through a strong partnership with the Livingston Workforce Services office, Evenglow Senior Living helps young adults in the community understand job expectations and training required for various healthcare careers through a paid internship program. Triscia Brubaker, Outreach Business Services Specialist with Livingston Workforce Services, noted, “Evenglow Senior Living is always willing to work with Livingston Workforce Services to help individuals understand healthcare careers through internships, mentoring, job shadowing, and employee career development.” In addition, Evenglow Senior Living partners with Livingston Workforce Services to recruit through job fair participation, online job board, and various recruitment programs. They are a true business leader and will continually invest time and resources into improving our healthcare workforce.
